Job Description:

Rock Island Credit Union is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to serve as the CEO / Manager of our main office in El Reno, OK. This unique position offers the opportunity to lead and manage the only branch of our credit union, with the potential for future expansion throughout the Oklahoma City Metropolitan area. For the right candidate, this role provides an exceptional chance to grow and make a significant impact on our community.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three to five years of managerial experience in banking or credit unions.
  • Preferred: Associate’s degree. Recommended: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Willingness to pursue higher education in Credit Union Management for those with managerial but not CEO experience.
  • Strong trust and diplomacy skills, along with courtesy and tact.
  • Ability to make decisions with minimal information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good judgment and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in general office skills, including operation of a 10-key calculator, typewriter, and computer keyboard.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the credit union’s operations, including staff management, daily operations, compliance, and accounting.
  • Ensure members receive excellent service.
  • Coach employees to meet/exceed individual and credit union goals.
  • Promote active participation in the Credit Union programs and other initiatives.
  • Represent the credit union with members, sponsor organizations, suppliers, other financial institutions, and similar groups.
  • Engage in community development by promoting various partnership opportunities.
  • Oversee branch operations, ensuring performance goals are met.
  • Assist employees and members with issues and concerns.
  • Manage hiring, training, and scheduling of staff.
  • Develop, motivate, hire, and discipline personnel; conduct performance evaluations.
  • Monitor Credit Union activities for compliance with credit union policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned positively and team-oriented.
  • Exceed Credit Union expectations and meet individual loan and member goals.
  • Lead and engage team in weekly meetings, adjusting as required to meet expectations.
  • Represent the Credit Union positively at community events to develop relationships and increase growth.
  • Stay current with federal and state regulations and credit union policies and procedures.
